Tasa Logistics's journey of more than 40 years began in the late 80's when Taito Äijänen started to provide shelf installation services in Southern Finland.
The professionalism, honest approach and uncompromising service attitude that won the customers' trust created a solid foundation for sustainable business operations.
In those days, warehouse work was heavily labor-intensive: there was little automation, collection and warehouse accounting was done on paper, and the work was largely manual. Warehouse work was physically demanding and lacking in ergonomics. Shelf positions were in the memory of employees, and unloading of loads, as well as checking quantities, took place visually. At that time, there was a culture of strong professional pride, where tacit knowledge and experience were valued.
In particular, Taito remembers one construction site from 1975 in Ruoholahti, Helsinki. At the site, the floor of the warehouse had failed and shelves and pallets were chocking around the space. What made the item dangerous was the fact that the beams were in strong tension, which made dismantling the shelves risky.
A wide variety of items and great customer relationships fit into Taito's career in the field of shelf installation.
When Taito retired in 2005, his son Sauli decided to continue on the road signalled by his father and set up his own company with Anssi Aaltonen.
Initially, operations focused on shelf installations, but later services expanded to include warehouse maintenance and development.
Sauli inherited his father's passion for logistics, and Anssi's commercial expertise brought more to the business. Together they built a company that combines expertise, quality and customer focus.
The values and principles of the father of skills have been the driving force of the company to this day. Although retired, he is still a familiar sight on construction sites -- and at times it's hard to keep him out of there!

Tasa Logistic is the only official representative in Finland for Metalsistem warehouse furniture manufactured in Italy. In recent years, the company's solution offering has expanded strongly into warehouse automation, responding to the growing demands of customers for efficiency, safety and space optimization.
As part of this development, Tasa Logistic has assumed responsibility for the sales, maintenance and installation of warehouse automation solutions from the German company Hänel GmbH in Finland.
The cooperation with Hänel strengthens Tasa Logistics's position as a supplier of comprehensive warehouse solutions and brings Finnish customers an even wider range of high-quality and reliable automation solutions.
