Fast and on-demand delivery of operating room materials is guaranteed, as one Rotomat® storage system is located just a few steps from the operating room area. To ensure maximum storage space, the system was installed in a storage depression 6 meters deep. Since the total height of the system is 8 meters, a very large storage capacity can be accommodated in a small floor area.
The Hänel Rotomat® system is used to store surgical instruments in sterile containers to keep them protected from all possible contamination. Lifting of dishes is carried out from the level of the optimal ergonomic height.
The warehouse system is managed with HänelSoft® warehouse management software. Access control is supported by barcode reading of employee identifiers, which increases the transparency and security of all warehouse transactions.
After logging in, employees enter the product to be searched into the system terminal. The overview on the screen will help you choose the right storage location. Sterile containers are quickly delivered to the place of use, and the products can be picked up for the operating room without fail.
Four other Rotomat® systems are in use in the hospital's central warehouse. These automated systems are used to store various products and supplies needed for medical care. Storage capacity has increased considerably, as mobile shelving cabinets are no longer needed.
All lifting systems are managed by HänelSoft®, which greatly facilitates the loading and retrieval of goods, as well as inventory management. Warehouses and products in the inventory are identified by HänelSoft® and displayed in the management terminal of the lifting system.
